How You Lose The Respect Of Each Zodiac Sign (So Be Careful!)
We all have those people, or personalities, that we deeply respect. Whether you are drawn to those who give to others selflessly or those who are very sure of themselves, you can probably think of qualities that you most admire pretty easily.
But what about those personality traits you just can’t stand?
It doesn’t matter who it is, when you see someone who doesn’t care about others’ feelings or is totally fine with being cowardly, you try to stay as far away from them as possible.
You find yourself losing all respect for that person, and nothing they do can make you see them any differently.
Losing respect for people can happen differently for everyone. You might be one of those people who find yourself putting up walls before even getting to know someone, or you may be someone who tries to be kind and open to everyone before making judgment.
Neither way is necessarily right or wrong, but it’s what makes you lose respect for them that matters.
What we all really want is to be surrounded by people who respect us back. Chances are, if you are having a hard time respecting someone yourself, they probably aren’t too crazy about you either.
How is this good? It means you tend to stay away from each other, which also means you don’t have to pretend you respect them.
Each zodiac sign loses respect for different reasons, but if you think about the personalities of the signs, it does make pretty good sense why they would stay away from these types of people.
ARIES (Mar 21 – Apr 19)
Aries can’t stand those who back down from a fight. She has always been the type of person to fight her own battles and deal with things head on, and she believes that everyone else should be able to do this too.
Aries got where she is today because of hard work and speaking her mind.
Anyone who tries to use underhanded techniques to get ahead or backs down in crucial moments will lose her respect.
TAURUS (Apr 20 – May 20)
Taurus hates dealing with competitive or temperamental personalities. As a laid-back personality herself, always feeling like she has to guess your next mood or keep up with you isn’t going to work for her.
While Taurus can be emotional herself, she knows when it’s appropriate to express these emotions and when not to.
Anyone who is impractical or over emotional won’t win her respect.
GEMINI (May 21 – June 20)
Gemini takes a lot of pride in keeping her life jam-packed full of excitement. Not only does this mean she wants everything in her life to be fun, she wants everyone to be fun too.
As soon as you start boring a Gemini, say goodbye because she won’t be around you for long.
You could be an emotional wreck at times or have a terrible temper, but as long as you aren’t boring, you’ll keep Gemini’s respect.
CANCER (June 21 – July 22)
It has taken Cancer a long time to be comfortable in her own skin, to welcome all of the emotions she feels.
Anyone who is totally void of emotion or makes fun of her when she is being emotional will lose her respect.
Cancer knows that sometimes she needs to stay at home with family and recharge instead of always being on the go.
She can’t stand being around people who are constantly searching for something instead of being happy with what they have right in front of them.
LEO (July 23 – Aug 22)
Leo loves to have fun and keep herself in a relaxed environment. She does not vibe well with personalities that are more serious and reserved because she knows that there is a mutual dislike.
Leo also values giving and receiving affection and praise because she feels like this is the best way she knows how to connect with others.
If you are stingy about opening up to people, she won’t respect you.
VIRGO (Aug 23 – Sep 22)
Virgo hates egotistical people with all of her heart. It sounds harsh, but anyone who always reaches for validation or compliments is nothing but trouble for her.
She can’t wrap her head around people who crave being in the spotlight all the time.
She also has a hard time respecting those who don’t play by the rules or don’t care about details.
This is more than half of what makes Virgo a Virgo and if you don’t respect that then she doesn’t respect you.
LIBRA (Sept 23 – Oct 22)
Libra strongly dislikes selfish people and will do what she can to stay away from them.
She believes that life is all about give and take, and if you are taking more than you are giving, you’re just losing her respect more and more.
You are guaranteed to lose a Libra’s respect if you hurt other people. Even if it is accidental or subconscious, she knows that there is something going on in your mind that thinks this behavior is okay.
SCORPIO (Oct 23 – Nov 21)
Scorpio tries very hard to surround herself with people who are exactly who they say they are, which isn’t always easy. If she finds out that you are incredibly fake and shallow, she will drop you fast.
Scorpio has no respect for those who go out of their way to lie or treat her like she’s dumb.
Scorpio is very sharp and will know right away that you are trying to undermine her or take advantage of her.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov 22 – Dec 19)
Sagittarius knows that there is a difference between fear and being a coward. She understands that everyone is afraid of something, but if you are a coward, she has no respect for you.
To her, it’s just another way for you to weasel your way out of things.
Sagittarius also can’t stand those who nitpick or worry about just about everything.
Being such a fun loving person, she doesn’t want to surround herself with those who don’t know how to have fun or want to make her feel bad about being herself.
CAPRICORN (Dec 20 – Jan 19)
Capricorn is a very independent person who knows how to take care of herself and solve her own problems.
She believes that you can only be an adult if you clean up your own messes without needing to ask for help.
Capricorn also can’t stand anyone who constantly whines or breaks rules. To her, it is telling other people that you don’t respect what they give you, which in turn means Capricorn doesn’t respect you.
AQUARIUS (Jan 20 – Feb 18)
Being such an open minded, progressive person, Aquarius understandably doesn’t like surrounding herself with ignorant or bigoted individuals.
She knows that people like this often don’t want to change, so why should she waste her time on them?
Aquarius is also ruled by logic, which is why she has no respect for those who let their emotions run amok.
She doesn’t want to deal with frivolous, erratic personalities who make decisions with their hearts.
PISCES (Feb 19 – Mar 20)
Pisces tends to stay away from people who are full of themselves or lack sympathy for others.
Because she is intuitive, being emotional and sympathetic are how she connect with people. If you can’t relate to this, you’ll lose her respect.
Pisces is also experiencing life on a different plane, which means she has no time or interest in material things.
Spend too much time worrying about time and money, and she won’t spend a lot of time on you.
